FAQs
PINE STRAW How much pine straw do I need? A bale of pine straw covers about 35 square feet (the size of a 5-by-7 full-size mattress). Should I remove the old straw (or leaves) before I put the new straw down? No. Straw disintegrates more quickly on bare dirt than on old straw. It also adds to mulching, and it’s more work for you! What should I do about weeds in my plant beds? Our recommendation would be to cut the weeds down low with a weed eater and then spray them with a weed killer (Roundup, etc). Between the loss of sunlight with the straw application and the weed killer, you should have good results. What type of straw do you sell? Long Needle Pine Straw - It looks the best, goes further, requiring fewer bales; and lasts longer because the needles don’t decompose as quickly as other pine straw products such as slash pine straw What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. |
